My first blog post for the year 2020. Come January London misses the glorious Christmas lights that was studded through the city. The grey winter weather doesn’t help either, so for the past six years Winter Lights is such a welcome relief for the city dwellers and those who wants to visit the Big Smoke.
Winter Lights 2020 makes an appearance for the sixth consecutive year. Several light installations are dotted around Canary Wharf. One could find the free walking map route just outside the Canary Wharf station. Stewards are located at each installation to help anyone with questions or just in case if you get lost. Most of the installation are interactive which brings out the fun element for kids and the kid in you. A perfect winter evening walk for the whole family, unless it rain of course.
Tip: The installation at spot 12 and 25 have a short wait time to view the installation.
Some of favourite spots from the winter lights.
SKY ON EARTH- COLUMBUS COURTYARD The photo doesn’t do justice to this stop the sound effects, light and the vibrations on the ground made me feel I was amongst the cloud. You need to experience it to believe it.
